8/9/11 - Librarian Look-a-like

It was quite a boring day today minus the fact that I was called a "naughty librarian" about 8 times today. Therefore, I decided to post it. It's honestly the only thing that really happened today. So, here you have it, ladies and gentlemen. My Halloween costume for this year - the naughty librarian. Thanks to my co-workers for helping me discover it 3 months early. :-)

8/8/11 - Clean Sweep

I honestly have the best boyfriend in the entire world. I came home to this amazingly clean garage that Domingo cleaned up today. Everything is totally in its place and looks better than it did prior to us moving in. Two thumbs way up! He's totally making some great improvements on the house. I should probably step-up my game too...

8/7/11 - Pink Preview

I had an invite to check out Victoria Secret's Pink Fall Preview and went with Domingo's mom and sister. When we arrived there was a HUGE line. Good thing they were on-time and let us in pretty quick, although the store was then packed with people. I didn't end up buying anything, but given the chance with an unlimited budget - I totally would have. There were a few items I still have my eye on, but it will probably be never before I buy it, haha!

8/6/11 - Latest (and Coolest) Renovation

My handy-dandy tool man, Domingo pulled up the old vinyl tile downstairs (which we believe has NEVER been replaced in this house) and replaced it with this amazing slate looking tile. He did such a good job!! We have decided to put it all in the basement, but only did this entrance and the bathroom for now. I don't think it could have come out any better. Domingo totally earned the biggest gold star today!!

8/5/11 - Cupcake & Riverwalk Date

Ever since we drove by this super cute riverwalk last week, I have been harassing Domingo to go with me. So tonight we went and grabbed cupcakes from Sugar Monkey (as seen on Food Network) and went for a little stroll around the riverwalk. It was beyond awesome! The little river had little ducks swimming who had the cutest feet. It was really nice to just get away and got for a walk. The cupcakes were awesome too. I had a key lime pie cupcake and Doming had a red velvet. I can't wait to go again!

8/4/11 - Baaad Turkey

After watching the news on the salmonella outbreak of ground turkey, we realized that we did indeed have some bad turkey. I had the feeling we did, but when we matched the product numbers on the label, it kind of freaked me out. Good thing we didn't make it because knowing my cooking skills, I probably wouldn't have cooked all the bad stuff out of it. Welp, back to the store it goes. I'm sure they could use the credit anyways.

8/3/11 - Off With His Head

Just another casual trip to Target tonight when I found these odd looking things that hold your pen and pencil. I then proceeded to accidentally drop one and he became beheaded. It couldn't have made a louder noise, however, I didn't budge just because it was too funny and I had to take a photo. Oh the things that happen to me sometimes...

8/2/11 - Really?

We had yet again another thunderstorm tonight that caused our satellite to go out. Domingo thought that he would read a book in the meantime. I had to document this moment because he's had this book sitting on his night table for months now and it has never been opened. This guy makes me laugh so much, but I sure do love him!

8/1/11 - Official Happy Birthday

Today is Domingo's official birthday!! Even though we both had to work today, I was able to still sing Happy Birthday to him in the evening. The burnt flan would be complete if we didn't have a handsome mouse take a bite for breakfast earlier in the morning. All in all, I hope and believe he did have a great birthday. I'm so excited and fortunate I got to spend it with him!
