10/20/11 - Wacked out Weather

Lately our weather has been nuts. Let it be known that today was the first time I have seen my car tell me it is "Icy". Although he is wrong (like most men hah), it gave me chills as a forewarning of what is to come in the next few months. Boooo Old Man Winter. Skip us this year!

10/19/11 - Larry the Lobster

Another failed attempt at trying to get Larry to prance around in his adorable little outfit. Instead, Larry decided to lay very, very still.

10/18/11 - Shades of Fall

Fall is honestly one of my favorite seasons. Seriously, how often do you see a something of nature this color? Unless it is a flower, never. I can't help myself to pull out the camera during this time and snap a few photos. I love the color this plant has turned. It might just be one of my favorites in the house.

10/17/11 - Orchadia

Wow this photo really shows its fakeness. I have this orchid in my bathroom as a little pizazz and as I was getting ready this morning, I realized how beautiful this flower truly is. I dunno - the random, weird thoughts that just go through my mind. As pretty as orchids are, they are DEFINITELY NOT as amazing as Gerber daisies or roses (hint hint!) :-)

10/16/11 - Happy Birthday, Boss!

In honor my boss' birthday today, I made him a confetti cake. No Vanessa I will not make you your own confetti cake until you birthday. Anyways, Nancy and I also attached a few lottery tickets along with it. Can you spot the winner? Don't worry, Steven couldn't either, but boy did he get red in the face when he realized what we had done!!! Such a good moment!

10/15/11 - Calling the Tooth Fairy

Shox has lost (what seems to be) his first tooth!!!! It was definitely a Proud Mom moment especially since I was able to recover it. At first it took me a while to figure out A) why he was bleeding and B) what this slimy hard thing next to my hand was. Our little boy is growing up so fast!

10/14/11 - When Cuteness Strikes

Shox has really gotta stop acting all cute. It makes my daily activities suffer. All I ever want to do is just hug the little guy...until he starts biting me. How could anyone resist such a cute monster?

10/13/11 - Fall is Here!

It's beginning to look a lot like FALL!!! Check out our very pretty tree in the front yard. It has a great Chardonnay color....hehe can you tell what's on my mind?

10/12/11 - Is This Necessary?

On my way home from work today, I encountered this accident-just-waiting-to-happen. Seriously dude, if you're going to ride with your leg out the window, at least keep your shoes on. No one wants to see your holy, stained socks on our way home.

10/11/11 - mInePad

We did some sellbacks and some switcheroos and now Domingo and I have our very own iPads each. While his is newer, etc I have already jazzed mine up. There's no way of confusing who's is who's now!!! Isn't it purdy?

10/10/11 - Monday Morning Cutie

In getting ready this morning, I take a step out into the hallway and was greeted by this little friend of mine. I think he was trying to get me to stay home by trying to act all cute. It aaaaalllllmost worked too!

10/9/11 - The Shox Payback

I think Shox was still upset about yesterday's lobster encounter and took it out on Stephanie today. He's gotten pretty good with his paybacks as during this "attack" process, he has learned how to massage your back (which is FABULOUS)! Just make sure to keep all ears, noses, and ponytails out of his reach as it will be eaten and destroyed!

10/8/11 - More Trick than Treat

Stephanie and I dressed Shox up today and took him over to Petsmart for a lovely Halloween photoshoot! Shox has made it abundantly clear in the past that he hates to be dressed up and he didn't miss a beat today. He refused to be festive and spread his "lobster" cheer! Steph and I had fun, however, taking him and seeing all the other doggies dressed up as the most random costumes. Shox did meet another lobster, but that lobster was at least three times the size of Shox. It was the cutest bulldog that just wanted a friend. Don't worry, Unsocial Shox paid no attention to him. He refused to be social while looking so ridiculous.

P.S. If you stare at the lobster outfit long enough, it looks like a Sesame Street character trying to eat Shox. Trust me, it'll make you laugh!

10/7/11 - eMMMpanada

I received this really cool recipe via e-mail from Kraft the other day for one HUGE empanada. It lacked a bit of spices, however, it was not only super easy to make it was fun and pretty good. Quite proud of my Betty Crocker abilities!

10/6/11 - Doggie Destruction

Amongst the package from Cousin Poopy Diaper, Grandma Tejas sent Shoxy a cool rope plus ball toy that tastes like chocolate....don't ask how I really know that though. Anyways, this toy honestly lasted no more than one evening at the Colorado-Ramirez household. I really don't think I see this one lasting much longer.

10/5/11 - Thanks Cousin Poopy Diaper

Shox received a special package today from his cousin Tabor. Tabor was so kind that he sent Shox the bestest stuff EVER! We love the doo-doo bags plus the gift card (which will obviously be used on clothing)! Thanks Cousin Poopy Diaper!!

10/4/11 - Stop HERE

Seriously, when is this construction going to end?!?! I love how this intersection is very adamant about stopping THERE on RED. I get the hint Construction Crew. Don't worry. I go through the retail parking lot anyways. Saves me a whole five minutes of stopping there on red!!!

10/3/11 - CHEEEEESE

Just driving back from lunch today to let Mr. Shoxy out....nothing else exciting going on. This is my "I'm beyond super excited to head back to work" face. Not too sure who is driving my vehicle though...

10/2/11 - Holy Rosary

Today we attended an outside mass near O'Hare. It was such a beautiful place and Domingo's dad got me this Rosary to hang in my car. It is of course blue and I love how the light catches it (especially in the mornings)!

10/1/11 - Blast From the Past

My dad decided to send us this photo today to remind me how adorably cute I was (and of course still am). I don't typically use other people's photos, but this one had to be posted. I remember seeing this every morning when I walked towards the kitchen as my parents have this hanging in the living room. It truly was a good way to wake up as HOLY COW that print on our "jumpsuits" is absolutely horrendous! Hah, even at age 5 I was taller than my sister :-)
